Review - Botanics Mattifying Day Cream

I've dabbled with a few Botanics products in the past but late last year the range had a bit of a face lift and lots of new products were introduced including this Mattifying Day Cream which contains SPF 15.

The product comes in a 50ml pot and is a lovely light consistency, I would in fact say it is a little gel like. A little goes a long way and it absorbs quickly which is what I like as I don't have much time in the mornings. My skin is left moisturised all day and is also left shine free. It doe have a slight scent but it smells very clean and purifying, this could be the willowbark that the product contains.

This also comes in a gel cream but with no SPF. I would recommend that you buy this one which does contain the SPF as in my eyes the consistency is very gel like.

This costs £4.99 for a 50ml pot from Boots which I think is a really good price for the results it gives.

Book Review - Strictly Shimmer by Amanda Roberts

The blurb.....

What if an ordinary girl's Strictly dreams become a glittering reality?

Meet Amanda Roberts: a production runner on the set of Strictly Come Dancing, desperate to fit into the world of the dazzling and the beautiful. And when she discovers all the backstage drama, Amanda wonders if she is tough enough to survive.

But then things start to change.....

And incredibly she finds more GLITZ, more MAGIC and more ROMANCE than she could have possibly imagined.

Prepare to be dazzled as you tango into the glamour and mayhem of the world behind the glitter ball.

PREPARE TO BE SHIMMERED!

What I thought.....

I have to admit I started this book a very long time ago but found it a little hard to get into. I stopped reading it and then got a free download of it for my iPad and I started again and found it hard to put down. Even though it is a fiction book I like that it features actual dancers from the show so you feel that you know a bit about the story already. If you're getting withdrawl symptoms now the show is over I would recommend giving this a read.
