Balance Me Pure Skin Face Wash

I think I got this with Glamour magazine last year as a freebie and I had been keeping it for when I went on holiday as it's a dinky travel sized product.

This is for normal to combination skin and has a skin balancing formulation.

As Balance Me is a natural brand it contains a lot of essential oils and floral scents. This face wash definitely had a strong floral scent. As I don't normally use floral scented products I found the scent a little overwhelming but I soon got used to it.

The product was quite thick and a little when a long way. I used this two to three times a day and really liked it. I even used it to remove my make up at the end of the day and after my skin felt really clean.

This 50ml tube was just enough for my weeks holiday and I really liked how it could be used as a make up remover too.

I would buy this again but in the full sized tube as it would last a long time.

A 50ml tube is £11.00 or the full sized 125ml tube is £16.00 and available from Balance Me.

A little USA haul! And a few magazine freebies!

This haul is quite exciting as it contains things that are either only available in the USA or that are hard to find here in the UK.

Fellow blogger Annabella from Skin Scrubs was heading back to her native USA and kindly asked if I wanted anything picking up whilst she was there.

It was one of those occasions where everything you've made a mental note of wanting from there vanished from my mind but I did send her a list non the less. So what did I ask for?

Bath and Body Works mini shower gels - OK so these are described as mini's but they're not. Each bottle is 88ml which is quite sizeable. I chose fruity scents and surprisingly my favourite is the Pink Chiffon which contains some floral notes.

Organix hair macadamia oil - Some Organix products are available int he UK but over in the USA they have such a large selection of scents and products. The macadamia range, as far as I'm aware, isn't available in the UK so I asked for the styling oil.

Sally Hansen instant cuticle remover - I'd only ever seen a couple of reviews of these and both reviews were amazing. The fact it claimed to 'dissolve dry cuticles in 15 seconds' instantly made me NEED to try this.

Sally Hansen Salon Effects nail polish strips - these were a kind of impulse buy. They aren't available over here so I took advantage of being able to get hold of some.

EOS lip balm - everyone raves about EOS products so I thought I'd see what they were on about. The lip balms are available in the UK.

Sally Hansen Gem Crush polish - These two colours are amazing. Pink and sparkly, what's not to like? I don't think these are available in the UK. Shades: Lady Luck and Razzle Dazzler.

Milani Jewel FX nail polish - This is a kind of dupe for Models Own Ibiza Mix and the reviews I'd seen for Milani polishes have been good so I added this to my list too! Shade: Gems.

Once again I'd like to say THANK YOU to Annabella for getting these for me and as I've already tried some of these next time she goes to the USA I might be sending her with another shopping list!

And a few more little bits are from the August magazine freebies:

Balance Me minis - Glamour
Avon mascara - Marie Clare
Ren - Red

As always link me to your haulage posts!

Review - Balance Me super moisturising body wash

I got this a couple of months ago as a freebie with a magazine. I hadn't used anything from Balance Me before but was sure it was a brand that I would love. Balance Me is a brand that was created in the UK and every product is free from parabens, sulphates, petroleum, mineral oils, silicones, deas, pegs, propylene glycol, artificial fragrances and colours, so basically no nasties are included in their ingredients.

The super moisturising body wash contains yarrow, patchouli and vitamin rich shea butter which is said to leave you feeling clean, refreshed and moisturised. I used this in the shower before work and have to admit I was quite impressed with it. The fragrance wasn't as strong as I expected but I liked that it wasn't too overpowering. I also like that it contains shea butter as I have been neglecting the moisturiser since the beginning of winter so my skin has seen a slight improvement since using this product.

This comes in three different sizes starting at £8 (this 125ml size) up to £12.25 for a 250ml bottle and as it is more expensive than I would normally pay for a shower product I don't think I would pay full price for a bottle but if they were free with a magazine again I would buy a couple to add to my stash.

It is available from Balance Me online.
