Models Own make up sponges

Models Own have brought out their own version on the now infamous Cosmopolitan Blending Sponge but these work out a little bit cheaper at 2 for £8.00. At the time I bought these I was still using powder foundation so I've only recently in the last few months starting using these.

You are meant to wet these a little to use with liquid foundation but personally I prefer to use them dry to smooth out my foundation and to banish those tide mark lines on my jaw line! They are very soft and  work really well, after using these my foundation looks flawless and my complexion looks even.

Now I've bought these I can't imagine my make up routine without them.

These are £8 for a pair and are available from Boots.

Christmas present haul

I hope you all had a lovely christmas and got lots of lovely presents. Just thought I'd do a quick haul post to show what I got. There's nothing really exciting but thought I'd show you anyway!

Yankee candle tarts - from my secret santa at work
Bath bombs from Bomb Cosmetics - From my friend Kerry

Heart necklace and earring set - from Chris
Buckle bracelet from New Look - I returned something Chris bought me
and bought this instead.

Lancome Tresor in Love giftset - From Chris's mum
Cat key ring and dog compact mirror - from my friend Sharon (I call her mummy number 2!)

All of the above are from my mum and dad
Picture from Next for my livingroom
Sweets from Next (I'm polishing the Snowies off as I type!)
Handmade bracelet off a little jewellery stall on our town's market. It was only £3.90,
I was with my mum when she got it!
Decoupage sheets for my card making and crafting
Naked body wash and hair care
The hand mixer in the photo below is also off my mum and dad

Mirrored tea light holder, Dannii Minogue's autobiography and
£40 for some new cutlery all off my Grandma

I have some more presents off some friends but one I haven't had time to catch up with and one present is stuck in the post somewhere.

What did you get for christmas?

A must read!

Image from Tesco.

I got this book last week and lets put it this way, it took longer to get delivered than it took me to read it!

Sharon Marshall is the soap news person off This Morning and this is her book about her time as a tabloid journalist. The back of the book says:

'I didn't know I was starting a life where I'd be asked to do three impossible things before breakfast, and be sworn at by four celebrities by lunch. I just thought, hey, I've got a job on a tabloid.' Sharon Marshall was a tabloid reporter for ten years. Along the way she saw and did some Very Bad Things. She also had a spectacularly lousy love life. It took the entire decade to realise the two may be connected. In her hilariously honest memoirs she reveals what really goes on behind the scenes at a major tabloid newspaper. What lengths will a tabloid hack go to, just to get the story? What do celebrities (secretly) do to get into the headlines? And can a job which involves fighting with popstars, pretending to be a swinger and provoking a fuming Jeremy Paxman ever make you marriage material?

It's a hilarious and shocking read with incidences that you really couldn't make up. It's a great summer read so check it out.
