Freebie galore!

Recently I've been very lucky and have won quite a few giveaways and competitions so here's a round up of what I've won!

Floral Jumpsuit (£20) from Matalan. I won this after taking part in a competition on their Twitter page. My own photo of this was awful so I've borrow this one off the Matalan website.

Every month Glamour magazine run a competition where you can win a different prize everyday, you just have to enter on that day in order to win that days prize. In May I entered most days and won an Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Intensive Moisturising Body Treatment and a Montague Jennesse face mask.

London Beauty Queen ran a competition in conjunction with Jergens and I won 5 full sized bottles of their moisturiser! I haven't tried theirs before so am looking forward to trying it out. With the risk of sounding slightly ungrateful, which I'm completely not, I'm quite disappointed I didn't get the cocoa butter one as I love products with it in but I feel very lucky to have won what I have! 

Cat from Reaching for the Stars ran a competition where you could win a bottle of Batistes Nude dry shampoo, you just had to say why you wanted to win. I said that it's the only one I hadn't tried in the Batiste collection so wanted to have tried the full set! And I also won a competition on Jergens Facebook page and I won another bottle of their moisturiser! That's a lot of moisturiser I have to get through!

Good Things has just launched in Superdrug and on their Facebook page you had the chance to win a pack of their cleansing wipes if you took a photo of their products in a Superdrug store and uploaded it so these landed on my door step a week ago. And a while ago I won a sample of one of Ren's new products and as a thank you for sending my feedback they kindly sent me a sample of their Glycolactic Skin Renewal Peel Mask.


Phew! So that's all my wins, oh I also made an impulse buy at the newsagents whilst with my mum and got a £1 scratch card and won a tenner! Have you won anything lately? Let me know in the comments below!

Haul - Primark & a competition win!

Just a super quick haul post to show what I bought when I went shopping last week. I only had £20 as until I start my new job & get some decent wages I'm currently poor, poor, poor!

Primark

Floral skirt - £5

I was drawn to this like a moth to a flame! Just love the pattern. I've worn this with a navy vest top and it looked fab. It has an elasticated waist so is good if you've over indulged at lunch time!

Black skirt - £5 (rubbish photo, sorry!)

I saw this hung up on a rail, it looked like a rail of stuff to go back out but it turns out it was a reduced rail. This was meant to be £12 but was reduced to a fiver! Bargain! 

Stripy top - £4

My mum bought me this and it's a sort of hanky hem top. Nice and airy for summer.

Plaited hairband - £1.50

I've been after one of these for ages and found them in Primark in Meadowhall, Sheffield, but the queue was so long and I wasn't waiting in it just to buy a hairband so I put it back. Then I had trouble finding another one but I managed to track one down! But when trying it on at home it's a tad too light for my hair :-( 

Competition win!

Ages ago Fabulous magazine from the News of the the World offered you the chance to win one of 3,000 Maybelline One by One mascaras to the first 3,000 people who voted in their beauty awards. I completely forgot about this so entered quite late on the first day it was up not expecting to win anything. Then low and behold a couple of weeks ago I came home to find this baby on my door mat!

I haven't tried it yet as I have about 5 mascaras open so I'm using those up. Needless to say I'm excited to give it a try as I've heard good stuff about it.

This is just a quick haul post showing some things which I've bought over the last couple of weeks.

Like many of you I bought the ASOS Groupon a couple of weeks ago, well actually I bought two. This was were you bought a £20 voucher for £9, it would have been rude not to have bought any! So what did I buy?

Glamour magazine

I have only tried Clinique twice before and have to admit I wasn't impressed but I did like their liquid soap. So when I went on a hen weekend last week I needed a mini face wash & my local Asda had had a new delivery of Glamour mags so I got two, one with the liquid soap and one with the all about eyes cream.

Ahh freebies! We love them don't we! This is just a few of the freebies I've acquired over the last week:

Magazine freebies

In my lunch break yesterday I nipped into WHSmith to get a magazine and instead of getting what I wanted and paying I browsed. This is lethal! And I spied these:

• Cosmopolitan have a free Sanctuary 5 minute thermal detox face mask (only worth £1.99 but you do also get a free celebrity hair magazine too)
• And Instyle (boy did I rip this from the shelves!) have a free L'Occitane handcream worth £7! There's a choice of 3 scents: Shea butter, Cherry Blossom and the new Fleur Cherie which is an Instyle exclusive as it hasn't yet been launched. I got the Cherry and the Fleur and I plan to get some more tomorrow as I LOVE L'Occitane handcream! Well worth it considering the magazine is only £3.60.

A couple of freebies

Here are a few freebies I received last week.

Clinique - 3 things to do before you're 30.

This contains 3 miniatures of Clinique's liquid facial soap, clarifying lotion and dramatically different moisturising lotion.

B.Liv by Cellunique.
A mini of 'Off with their heads' which removed black and white heads without pain and helps to prevent them from forming again.

I'll review all of these products once I've used them!

Recent freebies!

At the minute there are quite a few good offers running with certain products where you get things for free.

First up is, ok so this one is quite old, the chance to win a Benefit lipstick or lipgloss when you buy promotional Cadbury Flakes. I won one a while ago (I did post on my blog) and chose the 'Lala land' shade (photo below). On the colour swatch on the website it looked like a pink shade but it's actually more of a brown, still nice though but I find that I have to apply it and then blot my lips to get a more natural subtler shade. I think this promotion is running until the end of October.

Second up is when you buy More magazine you get a free Barry M dazzle dust from Superdrug worth £4.50. This is before the 15th June so be quick! Considering the magazine is £1.50, or if bought from WHSmith 80p (mega bargain!) it's well worth it which is why I bought four!

The photo isn't the best but they were too sparkly with the flash on and you couldn't really see them. They are in order: shade 23 (a royal blue), shade 44 (bronze), shade 9 (silver) and shade 82 (a mint green).

Finally is the very popular and very blogged about free Benefit products with Glamour magazine. The magazine is £2 and you get the choice of three products: it stick concealer (worth £17), Bag gal eyeliner (worth £14) or the eye bright stick (worth £14) or like me and many others you can't make the choice and get all three!
I hadn't used any of these products before so this was a great chance to try them and if I didn't like them it wouldn't be a great loss as they were only £2. So far I've only used the Eyebright which I'm impressed with but tomorrow I'm going to experiment with the other two. Who knows I might end up trawling the newsagents for some more!
