Review - Lancome Hypnose mascara

I'd never used a Lancome product before until the mother-in-law bought me a Lancome perfume giftset for christmas where you got a mini Hypnose mascara with it. I didn't like the fragrance so I naughtily passed it on to a friend, in exchange for cash (!), but kept the mascara.

Apologies for the rubbish photo above.

The brush is of adequate size, not the smallest but not the biggest I've used.

It did give volume and really black lashes but it's not the best I've used. As the full sized product is £21 the results I got wouldn't justify me spending that much money on a mascara. Maybe I'm missing something with this product?!

Have you used Lancome mascara? What do you think to them?

The week that was....

This week has flown by! I haven't really done much but I haven't stopped all week!

The boyfriend was on a course again this week so I was home alone tuesday - thursday but I spent it cleaning and getting stuff ready for the charity shop!

This weekend I've spent it listing things on ebay. As it's free listing weekend I don't mind spending the majority of it uploading my items as if they don't sell it doesn't cost me anything! So far I have 64 items on so fingers crossed the majority will sell as I need another £50 for my car tax fund! It feels good to sell things in order to raise money for something specific.

Apologies for the somewhat lack of blog posts this week, I had a few planned but haven't had time to finish them and get them posted so I'm going to do those in a minute and schedule them for this next week.

Hope you all had a good week!

Review - The Body Shop sweet lemon body butter

I got this body butter in a set for my birthday in June last year but have only just got round to using it. I have already used the matching shower gel and body scrub and loved the scent of sweet lemon, it smells so fresh but isn't over powering.

Even though the consistency is thick it does sink in really quickly. I've been using this in the morning when I've got out of the shower just to hydrate my legs as they've been feeling quite dry and it gets absorbed quickly which is essential when I don't have time wait around.
I hadn't used a Body Shop body butter before and I'm impressed with the quality of the product so I would buy a full sized one.

This is available exclusively from The Body Shop and prices start at £5 for a 50ml and £12.50 for a 200ml tub.

Next Home wishlist

Just a few things I spied whilst out shopping the other week

Rochelle medium sofa - £599
This sofa is so comfy and it is more pricey than I would normally pay but you can tell the difference in quality

Oslo chair and matching footstool - £299 & £180
As soon as I saw this I loved it! It doesn't look very comfy but believe me it is and I love the teal striped fabric

Spotty kettle - £30
It's pink and spotty, what's not to like?

 Bread bin - £28
I saw this in cream and it looks so classy. I've been after a bread bin for while and this is so funky!

Keep calm and put the kettle on canvas - £20

What do you think to Next Home? Personally I love their stuff and could spend a fortune so have to be quite restrained and tell myself "No"!
