W7 powder update

Way back in October last year I blogged about Benefit powder dupes by W7 and questioned how long it would take before I hit pan considering the Benefit boxes took 2 years to use up.

So after using the W7 Africa highlighter several times a week since October it has taken 5 months to hit pan.

This is a much shorter time than the more expensive Benefit powders but for the £2.99 price you can afford for this to happen, all in all I'm still impressed with these dupes!

The month that was - February

This month has gone by so fast, can't believe it's March already. So what has happened in February?

Well, at christmas I bought a tin of Fox's biscuits which when opened were all soft and a bit nasty so I complained and got sent £10 worth of vouchers! So off I trotted to spend them and this is what £10 worth of biscuits looks like:

Needless to say I won't be buying any for a while!

I also bought two of the new Kit Kat chunky's which were both amazing and I tried the new orange Aero bubbles, also very scrummy!

And of course it snowed :-( which I hated.

My friend is also due to have her baby soon so as I had been gathering bits and bobs for her for a few months now I decided to try to organise it all in a basket to give to her. I forgot to take a photo of the finish basket but it did look loads better that this photo when I was trying to get it all together!

What I had for tea one day: a banana milkshake, pop tarts and a pack of piri piri chicken crisps!

And finally I started burning my Cookies & Cream Yankee Candle which is a USA exclusive and it's AMAZING! It smells so good!

Oh and I also had a job interview yesterday so fingers crossed for that one!

Hope you all had a great month!

No! No! update

In December I bought the No! No! hair removal device and this is my first update on my progress with it.

I have to admit I haven't been using this as often as it recommends or as I'd like but I have still seen some good results.

Arm hair in December 2011 before starting using No! No!

Regrowth in February 2012

Hopefully you can see from the most recent photo that regrowth is definitely slower and sparser than before I started using the device. I also started using this on my legs and I've seen a slight improvement in hair regrowth but I've also experienced a lot of ingrown hairs but nothing I can't manage with exfoliation and tweezers (sterile of course!)

I will continue to use this device and hopefully by summer I'll have seen a massive reducing in hair growth on both my arms and legs. I'll keep you updated!

Review - 17 Miracle Matte foundation

I always wear mineral powder foundation now but when I was going for a girly night out the other week I thought I would try a liquid foundation again. I went into Boots with the intention of buying the new Maybelline dream foam foundation but it didn't have a very heavy finish so I decided it wasn't for me. I then wandered down the other make-up stands and I saw the new 17 Miracle Matte foundation and it drew me in!

The packaging states that it has a 'matte satin flawless finish' and 'all day shine control'. This sounded perfect for my combination skin. I find 17 foundations hard to colour match with my skin, but I settled with 'Fair' and when I tested it it did seem to live up to what it claimed so I bought it.

The next day I tried it out properly and wow I was impressed! My skin looked matte, shine free and this lasted all day which was amazing. I would highly recommend this for others to try out.

It is available from Boots and is priced at £5.99.

Review - Soap & Glory Clear Here moisturiser

Ahhh Soap & Glory, do they even do a bad product? It would seem not. So when I picked up their Clear Here moisturiser I hoped this wouldn't be their first.

Clear Here is designed for combination skin as it controls oil and it contains pore-shrink skin perfecting technology.

It is a light consistency which absorbs into the skin quickly and it's also non-greasy which is always a good thing! A little goes a long way but my skin felt perfectly hydrated and it was shine-free all day long.

If you have combination skin and haven't tried this then I'd say give it a go because I'm sure you'll be impressed with it.

It is available from Boots for £9 for a 50ml tube.
