Review - Naked Detox shampoo and conditioner

I am slowly trying to replace all my beauty products with ones that don't contain parabens or SLS and a brand which doesn't use these is Naked.

Naked create their products using 97% natural ingredients so this is a big thumbs up for me!

I have problems with eczema on my scalp and have to be careful what products I use otherwise I'll end up an itchy, flakey scalp which isn't a good look.

I bought Naked's Detox balancing shampoo and conditioner which contain peppermint and sorrel leaf.

One of the first things I noticed about these products is that you need very little. The shampoo foams and lathers up really well and the conditioner is quite rich and thick. In fact it is a little hard to get out of the tube.

It left my hair smelling fresh and feeling soft, silky and manageable. It didn't aggravate my scalp and unlike other shampoo and conditioners I could quite happily use this everyday.

This is priced at £4.07 and available from Naked and Boots.

Review - Naked eye gel

A few months ago Naked brought out it's skincare range which included cleanser, toner, make up remover, face wash, moisturiser and eye gel. I bought a few products from the range and first I tried was the eye gel.

With soothing cucumber and camomile I was expecting great things from the gel and it is supposed to be suitable for sensitive skin so I presumed would be fine for my non-sensitive 'normal' skin. But nope, it didn't work on my skin.

The gel was clear and wasn't sticky. It sunk into the skin quickly but my gosh it made my eyes sting like crazy, yes they hurt...alot. I tried using less but nope, they still stung. I tried using less the next day but they still stung so I stop using it.

Overall I was disappointed as I love other Naked products but this one just didn't agree with me. I have since passed this onto my mum who has no problems with it at all. Maybe it's just me!

This costs £7.49 for a 15ml tube and is available from Superdrug and Naked online.

Haul - Naked Body Care

Yes I bought the £8 Groupon for £20 off an order at Naked Body Care as I thought it would be a great opportunity to buy somethings which are on my wishlist and my order arrived this afternoon! And I have to add it was beautifully packaged:

What I ordered:
Clear Anti-Dandruff Shampoo - £3.99
Clear Anti-Dandruff Conditioner - £3.99
Looking Good Soothing Eye Gel - £7.49
Up Tone Girl Gentle Toner - £4.49
Perfect Getaway Cream Cleanser - £4.49
Blinkingly Lovely Eye Make-up Remover - £4.49

The make-up remover, eye gel and the shampoo and conditioner are all new products and I'm really excited to try the anti-dandruff ones as I am trying to find a good paraben and SLS free product to control my scalp eczema.

I will review all of these once I've used them!

Did you buy the Groupon, what did you buy? Which Naked products would you recommend?

Haul - Boots and Savers

Ok, ok, I know that I said I wasn't going to buy anymore toiletries until I'd used up my stash but these ones are ok as the majority of them were free!

Boots

These were free because I got them with my points! All Organic Surge products at Boots are currently on 2 for £8 and considering most of them are over £8 now the VAT increase has been effected this is a real bargain. These were £8.16 each so I saved £8.32!

And last week I had to return something but I didn't have my receipt so had to have an exchange. I got Vaseline aloe vera gel and cocoa butter gel which were 2 for £5 (or £4.89 each). I like the idea that they are a gel so they will be lighter to apply in the summer when lotions and butters are sometimes too rich.

I also got Naked rose body wash (£3.99) and Naked starflower body wash (£4.07), Tresemme naturals mini shampoo and conditioner (£1.32 each) and a Bourjois little round pot eyeshadow in shade 13 (£5.99).

Savers

Fee at Makeup Savvy tweeted about finding these Naked products in Savers so the next day when I was in town I popped in to check them out. They were £1 each instead of around £3.99 and I got a bottle of white ginger body wash, a tube of cocoa butter body cream and a tube of rice shower scrub.

Have you tried any of these products? What did you think?

What I did with my Soap & Glory OOTW...

As mentioned in a previous post, here, I used my Soap and Glory OOTW from Boots as a storage bag for my new beauty products which I want to use after I've used my hoard up. I thought I'd do a quick post to show what exactly is in it.

Overview of my bag

Sanctuary goodies from another OOTW
Dead Sea Source products

Soap & Glory products:
Glad Hair Day shampoo x2
Glad Hair Day conditioner
iFoam shower gel
Butter Deluxe body butter
Heel genius foot cream
Scrub your nose in it x2
Hand Food

More Soap & Glory:
Clean Mary (mini)
Catch a Wrinkle (mini)
Flake Away scrub
Breakfast Scrub
Off Your Face wipes x3
Girligo moisturising body mist (mini)
Fab Pore mask x2
Hand Food (1 full size & 1 mini)
Clarity face soap
Clear Here moisturiser
Sexy Mother Pucker lipgloss

Naked shine shampoo
Naked Detox shampoo and conditioner
Naked Sensitive shampoo and conditioner
Naked Coco de Mer body wash
Lee Stafford grow faster mask
Lee Stafford big fat texturised hair spray
Sally Hansen kwick off nail polish remover
Bomb Cosmetics bath bombs

I'm excited to used all of these but as my challenge of my product use up post said I'm going to use up all of my 'old' products before I'm going to start on these. It's a little incentive for myself!

Did you manage to get one of these Soap & Glory bags? What are you using it for?

Product Wishlist - Naked

This is another product wishlist off another brand which contains no nasty things: parabens, SLS, petrochemicals and phthalates. This brand is Naked!

I first became aware of Naked after seeing it in Boots but I never really took much notice of it until recently. I tried their hand wash and didn't really like it, it was far too gloopy for my liking but that could be because it isn't full of rubbish like the stuff mentioned above.

Naked do quite a wide range of products: shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body lotion, handwash etc. So here's my list:

1. White Ginger body wash - £3.99
2. Detox Deep Cleanse shampoo - £3.99
3. Sensitive shampoo - £3.99
4. Detox Deep Cleanse Conditioner - £3.99
5. Sensitive Conditioner - £3.99
6. Orange Blossom body wash - £3.99
7. Coco de Mer Body Wash - £3.99
8. Sea Minerals Salt Scrub - £6.99
(Images from: Naked Online)

Naked is available (as far as I'm aware) to buy online on their website and at Boots.
