Lush Mint Julips lip scrub

I'd never really seen the point of a lip scrub until we had all the snow and cold weather which left my skin a big dry flaky mess.

I went to Lush to get some other products for my dry skin and thought I'd give a lip scrub a try. There are a few different scents and I chose the mint one.

It smells really minty but not artificial and the scrub itself is quite coarse so a little goes a long way.

The first time I used this I put it on my toothbrush and scrubbed that way but it was a little too harsh and made my lips bleed. Now I just rub it on using my finger and find that does the job.

I think this would be good if you use a lip stain and have trouble removing it at the end of the day. I might have to try this out actually! I don't use this regularly, only when my skin is dry so this little tub will easily last me the rest of the year.

This is £5.25 and is only available from Lush.

Lush Superbalm Scalp Treatment

This is a new product from Lush and I was really excited to try it out on my scalp which can erupt in horrible flaky eczema.

Superbalm is really easy to use, you simply massage it onto your scalp before washing your hair and then wash it as normal.

As it's name suggests it is a balm and this little 45g tin will last ages as you need very little as you only use it on the bits of your scalp which need it.

It also removes product build up so if you've washed your hair in a rush and maybe haven't rinsed as well as you should have this will sort it out in no time.

Since buying this my scalp has, typically, been ok. I've used this two or three times and each time it has sorted my scalp out.

I think this is a good product to have in your cupboard as a back up just in case.

This 45g tin is priced at £12.00 and is only available from Lush.

Review - Lush Ocean Salt facial scrub

I bought this as I thought it would help my scalp when it flares up with eczema, I didn't really have much intention of using it on my face.

The scrub is very coarse, it is like rock salt and gives an amazing exfoliation. It is also scented with coconut, grapefruit and limes which have been soaked in vodka, who wouldn't love a product that contains vodka?!?

The product is also a little creamy as just having the salt itself would be way too harsh for your skin, I use such a little amount this 250g pot will last me absolutely ages.

It worked on my scalp but as I also bought a product specifically for my scalp at the same time (review to come) I haven't needed to use this on my scalp since. As for using it on m face, as I've already mentioned I use a very small amount, probably the size of a 10p piece and just rub it on my face using my fingers.

After my face is left feeling smooth, fresh and clean. Even though it is quite a coarse scrub I would be happy to use this 3-4 times a week.

This is available in two sizes, 100ml for £6.95 and 250g for £12.50 and is only available from Lush.

Haul - Primark, Boots, River Island & more

It had been a while since I'd been properly shopping and last week in the snow I dragged my mum out to go for a little trip to Lincoln to pick up some bits and bobs.

Boots

Collection 2000  Cover & Go foundation - £3.99 (was £5.99)
17 Stay Time concealer - £4.19
Rimmel Exaggerate eye primer - £4.49 (was free as Rimmel's on 3 for 2)
Rimmel Apocalips - £5.99
Rimmel Stay Matte Kate lipstick - £5.49

Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection concealer - £4.19

Lush

Ocean Salt face scrub - £12.95
Superbalm scalp balm - £12.00

QVC

Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm - £26.00 (was a special offer)

I was meant to get a 100ml tub and a 50ml tub of the balm but when they arrived they were smashed and the lids wouldn't screw on so I called QVC who with no questions asked sent me a new order out and told me to keep the others. When my new ones arrive they too were also damaged but not to the extent of the others so I just kept them. I would highly recommend you use QVC as the prices are often cheaper than the high street and you get a 30 day money back guarantee, even on make up!

Sainsbury's

Kilo Off weight loss supplements - £8.97
This is a powder you mix with water and drink to help aid weight loss, I haven't started using it yet but will do a full review when I do

Radiopaq Flips headphones - £2.99 (was £11.99)
I got these for when I go on holiday in a few weeks time

Primark

Beach towel - £6.00
Minnie Mouse emery boards - £1.50 each

River Island

Chain sunglasses - £13.00
Tortoise shell sunglasses - £10.00

So that's my haul! I plan on reviewing the make up and skincare products as soon as I can so keep a look out!

I did order a few more Philosophy products but when my order was dispatched I got an email saying they were now out of stock. Slightly annoying as there were lots of different shower gels I could have got instead. Also when my Debenhams order arrived two of the packages were open as the bags hadn't been sealed properly.

So that's my huge sale haul! I still have a few things from Next on their way but I was really happy with what I picked up and it was all done online so I didn't even have to brave the sale shoppers!

Link me to your sale hauls and I'll check them out!
