Review - Cowshed 'lippy cow' lip balm

Cowshed is one of those brands which I think everyone has heard about due to their quirky product names such as horny cow, moody cow and lippy cow which is the name of their lip balm.

I've had the lippy cow lip balm for a while now but have only just started using it. It is the only Cowshed product I've used and chose it as it contains natural ingredients. I wasn't sure if I'd like the scent of it as it contains essential oils and floral fragrances which I don't particularly like.

The consistency is really quite runny. It's more of a lip gloss or a lip shine than a balm but it does sink into the lips quickly so that's the redeeming factor for it being called a balm.

As for the scent, yes it is really floral but I have got used to it. It isn't a synthetic scent which is good but if you love florals I would highly recommend this.

I use this at night before I go to bed to give my lips a good moisturise and it does this well. It has an RRP of £5 for a tube which I don't think is too pricey. I would repurchase but it wouldn't be my first choice to buy. It is available from ASOS, Look Fantastic or..... Direct Cosmetics have it available at a bargain price of 79p! At that price who could say no to trying it?!

Have you used this? What did you think? Which other Cowshed products would you recommend?

I've used cowshed stuff before and I had the same issue as you with regards to scent. I'm not keen on essential oil smells or florals.

There body lotion is really nice and thick and if it came in a scent I liked I would definitely buy it again.

@Skin Scrubs - There's loads of products I'd love to try but the floral scents always put me off. Sometimes they're so overpowering x
