Birthday Haul - Part 2

Like my last post said it was my birthday this week so obviously I had to break my spending ban and go on a birthday shop, but I was quite good and didn’t spend too much money!!

First up was a trip to Primark. I’ve recently lost abit of weight so I can fit into their clothes again (comfortably that is without a squeeze) so I bought some green Brazil shorts (these were for PJ’s but I’ve had them on today for sunbathing) £4, pewter gem flip flops £2 (bargain price and they’re so comfy I want some more), an umbrella £4, a pair of sunglasses £2, a pair of owl earrings £2 and a bird necklace £1.50.

Then I paid a visit to the Body Shop. I have to admit I normally avoid this shop like the plague because I think the products are over priced and normally the moment you set foot in the shop an assistant pounces on you. I had a bit of birthday money to spend so this doesn’t count against my spending ban. I got banana shampoo £3.99, banana conditioner £3.99, a mini nettle shampoo £1.50 and a mini nettle conditioner £1.50.

I also got 2 samples of face cream. I got seaweed day cream and seaweed night cream. These are for oily skin and they are a light consistency. I only asked for them because my boyfriend broke my normal moisturiser and he looked horrified when I told him that he was buying me a new bottle and it costs £20. I’ll let you know what I think of them.

Next I visited TK Maxx. Again I normally avoid this shop as I think that clothes wise it’s really not for me, but they have some cracking beauty buys. Before now I’ve had Philosophy, Cath Kidston and Biotherm products all mega cheap. This time though I was instantly drawn to Tigi Some like it Hot shampoo. I’ve been looking at Tigi shampoos and conditioners for a while but haven’t made the plunge to try them but at £9.99 for a 750ml bottle it was too good to miss. They also had a Tigi Rockaholic Shampoo and Conditioner for the same price each. And then I saw they had some L’oreal Professional Shampoo on clearance for £3 so I bought that too!

This post will be continued tomorrow....
